14 Okt Wayleave Agreement Meaning
If we need permission to install new devices on private land, we send a roadmap request to the owner. These include the route plan, the Wayleave agreement and an explanation of why we need permission. Once this has been signed and returned to the Wayleaves team, we get permission to install the device on the landowner`s land. What is a Wayleave? A wayleave is a legally binding agreement between a landowner and a telecommunications, supply or fiber optic provider, which allows access to the installation and then maintenance or management of network cables and equipment above or outside the territory. Wayleave agreements are particularly important because they apply not only to the landowner who took them over, but to their “beneficiaries”, i.e. to all those who have been buying and owning the property since the conclusion of the contract. If you do not provide us with your bank details, we will send you cheques for all Wayleave payments. The Wayleave agreements are a fundamental and crucial part of our lives and society. Without them, life would be very difficult and very different from what it is today.
Wayleave agreements are essentially a right for an energy company to install, place or operate its equipment above your property to provide the UK with electricity for all. .
